From ultrasound diagnostics, pathohistological analyzes to laboratory processing, our team the specialist uses the most modern methods to provide a comprehensive picture of the state of health patients.
Ultrasound diagnostics, also known as ultrasound or sonography, is a non-invasive medical method that uses ultrasound waves to visualize the internal structures of the body. In the MediDerm polyclinic, ultrasound diagnostics is led by Dr. Grbić, M.Sc., a specialist in radiology, closely specialized in ultrasound. In the polyclinic you can perform; USG of the breast, thyroid, prostate, testicles, abdomen, USG CD of the lower extremities (arteries and veins), USG CD of neck blood vessels (carotid and vertebral blood vessels), USG of regional lymph nodes, USG of growths and locomotor system.
Diagnosis of sexually transmitted diseases is extremely important for preserving reproductive health. Our clinic offers discreet and reliable tests that enable early detection and treatment of these diseases, providing patients with the necessary care and support. Swabs of the urethra, cervix, vagina, urine analysis for sexually transmitted diseases; PCR detection of Mycoplasma, Ureaplasmae, Chlamydiae, Trichomonas, N gonorrhae, PCR HPV genotyping and serology for HIV, syphilis, hepatitis.
Pathohistological analysis is a detailed study of tissue under a microscope to identify pathological changes and atypical cells. The procedure involves taking a tissue sample under local anesthesia, usually through a biopsy. The pathohistological analysis takes 2 weeks.
The diagnosis of fungal diseases of the skin, scalp and nails refers to the procedures and methods of identifying the presence of fungi that can cause infections in different parts of the body. In this diagnostic process, we use various methods, including microscopy, cultures, and molecular tests. Microscopic examination allows fungal elements to be observed under a microscope, while cultures are used to grow and identify fungi from a sample of skin, scalp or nails. Before taking the sample, patients must not apply antifungal medication for 7 days. The result of the microscopic preparation is ready in 1 day, the result of the culture is available after 4 weeks.
The prick test for nutritional and inhalant allergens shows us a type I hypersensitivity reaction, which is manifested by the appearance of urticaria, angioedema, coughing, sneezing, watery eyes and runny nose, as well as gastrointestinal complaints such as vomiting and diarrhea and food intolerance. The skin test is performed by introducing small doses of an allergen into the skin of the forearm, which causes an allergic reaction of the first type in a hypersensitive person. If the person is allergic, swelling (hives) and redness will appear at the site of the sting with that allergen in about 15 minutes. 5 days before the test, patients must not take antihistamines, and must not apply local corticosteroids and topical immunomodulators to the forearm area. Epicutaneous (PATCH) test: It serves to prove a late hypersensitivity reaction to contact allergens (type IV hypersensitivity reaction). The test is performed on the skin of the back, where patches with allergens are attached. It is read after 48 hours, 72 hours and 7 days. At the Polyclinic, we have the option of performing epicutaneous testing with a series of 23 standard allergens as well as testing with a series of professional allergens (dental and hairdressing set). Patients can take oral antihistamines and prednisolone in low doses before and during the test.
In the diagnosis of numerous inflammatory, allergic, malignant, pulmonary and cardiological diseases, laboratory processing is extremely important to us. KKS, biochemical tests, total and specific IgE, tumor markers, immunological processing (ANA, ENA), urine analysis, urinalysis.
General Medical examination is a comprehensive medical examination that aims to assess the patient's general state of health. This examination includes a number of diagnostic procedures, including physical examination, blood pressure measurement, laboratory tests, EKG, spirometry, ultrasound examinations, dermatoscopic examination of the skin. We offer different systematic examinations that are adapted to the needs of individual patients.
Breast puncture under ultrasound control (UZV) is a diagnostic procedure used to take a sample of fluid or cells from the breast for further analysis. This technique is often used in the diagnosis of cysts, lumps or other irregularities in the breast. Breast puncture under ultrasound control can help confirm the diagnosis or rule out malignant changes, providing valuable information about the health of the breast.
